Yarn Bombing Los Angeles Hits Grand Central Market
August 23, 2014

Yarnbombing Los Angeles, whose crafty and colorful installations have covered institutions all over the City of Angels, has set its sights on Grand Central Market's Hill St. columns, and they want your help.

The work, which explores the question "Who/What/Where is DTLA?", will be assembled with the help of volunteers during three free workshops, from 2-5 pm over the following three Saturdays: August 23, September 27 and October 11. All ages and skill levels are welcome to attend.

The goal: to transform Grand Central Market into a Greek-inspired yarn-polis with an installation that looks at the coming together of crafters, pedestrians, and downtown Los Angeles districts in the space of the open-air market. This original, site-specific art piece will be unveiled in November 2014.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION: RSVP for the event on Eventbrite and show your reservation to the Hill St. information desk on the day of the workshop to receive a $2 token to the Market.
