The evolution of the iconic Grand Central Market has brought a world of eating and drinking options to Downtown Los Angeles. The combination of old and new, the diversity of flavors and the lively atmosphere have made this a must-stop for locals and visitors alike. But with almost 40 vendors, 28 of which are serving hot and cold dishes to eat there or take to go, it can be a bit overwhelming to decide what to eat. Here’s our breakdown of the dishes you should — nay, must — try at every single stop. (Please note: We did not include the vendors who deal solely in dry goods, spirits and produce.)
The Grand Central Market opens Sunday through Wednesday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and Thursday through Saturday, 8 AM to 9 PM. Not all vendors serve breakfast, but many do; not all serve beer and wine, but many do.
Let's stay in touch! We'll keep you posted on events, new vendor openings, special offers, seasonal activities, and all the rest. Don't worry: we won't go crazy with the messages—once a week, max—and we'll never share your email with any other party.
